Campout

Uncle Paul and Aunt Cheri got Camden a tent for his birthday. The boys have been begging to use it, so Luke promised them a Friday night campout a couple weeks ago. We set the tent up inside the porch and they played in it all night! Cohen and Crew had a great time jumping, rolling, wrestling around in all the blankets and pillows. When it came to be dark, they had popcorn and watched shows with daddy for a bit. Crew and I slept in our warm beds. :) Cohen ventured in with me before he ever closed an eye. Camden was a true camper...Luke woke up cold around 3 am, so he carried Camden in too! They are looking forward to many more campouts this summer!

Cohen turns 4!

Whew! Another birthday down...what a busy couple months we've had! It was so much fun celebrating our big 4 year old! He sure is full of personality and just a fun loving kid! We got to spend the whole day together because Crew had been sick the day before...it worked out nice for Cohen! We had lunch at his place of choice....McDonalds (shocker) and just hung out together. He opened gifts from us once Luke and Cam were both home for the day.

He is just so easy to please...the only thing he asked for was Lucky Charms :)

We got him a new scooter...and it's green of course!

We also got him some car track and motorized cars

Earlier in the day he helped me make his "candy" cake. He doesn't like cake, but he sure loves him some candy!

This past Saturday, we celebrated his birthday at the park with family and friends. We did a joint party for him and Bryce again! It was a gorgeous day...a little windy, but overall great!

Picnic in the park theme with ant cupcakes

My sister is so creative and made these cute picnic baskets for the kids

Crew had fun roaming around too!

Chicago

We spent the first part of Spring Break in Chicago as a family. Our boys had never been before and it had been awhile since Luke or I had been there either. We stayed downtown close to everything and the boys had a blast. I think there favorite part was staying in a hotel :)

The boys packed up and ready for the trip

We had lunch at Navy Pier when we got in town and then walked around for a bit. It was sunny and a little on the cool side, but nice enough to be out.

Later that afternoon, after swimming in the hotel pool, we went to the Willis Tower. A lot of people had that idea, so we waited awhile, but the boys really loved it once we went up. They both even stepped out on "the ledge" of glass and looked down! Yikes!

The next day after breakfast we headed to Shedd Aquarium. This was for sure Cohen's favorite part of the trip. What a cool place with so many cool animals!

The penguins were Cohen's favorite

I thought the Beluga Whale was pretty cool

They have a really cool polar play area too

Inside the submarine

Crew loved all the buttons and knobs!

And looking at the fishes

Later that afternoon we walked down Michigan Avenue. It was gorgeous that day! We hit up the Lego Store

The Hershey's store was a hit for Cam...we stopped at a pizza place for lunch and just really enjoyed the day!

Walking down Michigan Ave.

That evening was the big event...The Bulls game! Cam could hardly contain himself all day asking when it was time to head that way. We got there early so we could take it all in and got to see Joakim Noah warm up!

We had amazing seats...row 11!

This little turkey stayed up for the entire game!

The boys had a great time and the Bulls won!

Whew...it was a great trip! We enjoyed the rest of our week off relaxing!

Cam Turns 6!

My baby boy is 6...can hardly believe it! Although I can, because he acts so grown up these days. Since he has a huge obsession with basketball, we decided to take some of his friends to the Mad Ants game. We had a pizza party at our house before and then loaded up the kids and went to the game. It was a sure sign that he is getting old, because parents were just dropping their kids off at his party. This is a first for that.

Wearing his birthday crown he got at school

Sporting one of his new jerseys

Ready for the party to start

There were 14 kids that went to the game...some cousins and 5 friends from his class. I didn't get any good pictures at the game, but here is the crowd at our house

Love this boy so much!!!!
